What happens if one of the joint owners passes away? Should the contract be changed in Emaar to reflect the fact that one owner has passed away?

Article 11 of the UAE Civil Code states that “The law of the state of which a person has the nationality shall apply to the civil status and competence of such person”. In line with this, Emaar has established procedures for Transfer on Succession to the next of kin upon the demise of the owner/ one of the joint owners of the property.
