How do DIC Telecom services compare to other service providers? Where do I apply for these services? Currently, all applications are handled by DIC Telecom Sales Staff at the Sales Office, which is conveniently located at Dubai Media City Building No. 14, ground floor. For application of services you would have to pay a visit to the Sales Office. On the initial application DIC Telecom would provide you with a unique PIN code and password. You can use these codes over the phone to amend the services you have subscribed to. So you would not have to come all the way to the Sales Office every time you want changes to your existing services. ^ back to top |

How can I amend my existing services, features and/or personal details? Once you are a DIC Telecom subscriber, you may make any changes to your contract by either visiting our sales office or by faxing us an amendment form that is available online by visiting www.telecom.dic.ae. ^ back to top |

Where do I pay my bill? You may either authorize DIC Telecom to charge your Credit Card, or pay cash or cheque at the Sales Office, which is conveniently located at Dubai Media City Building No. 14, ground floor, or you can even pay using the phone facility by dialling the DIC Telecom Call Centre number to provide us with your Credit Card details. ^ back to top |

If you require help understanding your DIC Telecom statement of account, you can pass by the Sales Office at Dubai Media City Building No. 14, ground floor, between 8AM and 5PM or visit our website http://www.telecom.dic.ae in the "Residential" section under "Understanding Your Bill". ^ back to top |

What payment methods do you accept? You can settle your DIC Telecom account by cash, cheque and Credit Card at our Sales Office, drop boxes or upon receiving your permission we can directly debit your Credit Card for the amount due, or by bank transfer through Emirates Bank International, Dubai A/C No 0073-762262-002. How do I get my services reconnected after being suspended due to none or late payment? If you your account is not settled on time, your services will be suspended for a maximum or three months after which they will be terminated. Once terminated, your current telephone numbers will no longer be allocated to you. and to get the services back, you will have to apply for new services and be charged for installation. To be able to apply for new services, you would first have to clear all the past dues and pay for the new installation. ^ back to top |

What telephone instruments can I use? Most analogue telephone sets available in United Arab Emirates work on our network. These telephone sets can be found in many telephone outlets or other retail shops. ^ back to top |

How do I subscribe for TV service and what equipment do I require in my house to avail of these services? To receive TV channels in your house, you will have to have at least one state of the art Internet Protocol Set Top Box" (IP STB) which is obtained from DIC Telecom. During installation we will connect a socket of your choice in your house to receive the TV signal. Additional sockets in your home can be activated upon request. Additional STBs and any additional TV bouquets can be requested at an attractive fee. Please see the Services & Tariff section details. ^ back to top |

What does the Internet Access consist of? DIC Telecom offers four types of Internet services namely: 64 kbps, 512 kbps, 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps as briefly described below. The general features include: - No Modem required.
- Ability to roam.
- Broadband Internet Access around the clock (always on).
- Multiple Email Addresses of 10 MB space each - apart from the 64 kbps which comes with one Email Address (yourusername@mailme.ae).
- Ability to share with 8 other members of the family (apart from the 64kbps users).
- A Web Host of 20MB space which should be in line with www.telecom.dic.ae
- mailme.ae/yourusrename (not applicable to 64 kbps users)
- The 64 kbps service is more suitable for those who sparingly use the Internet but instead of using a dial up Internet Access, they can enjoy being connected 24x7 and roam around the house. All this at an unbeatable rate.

How do I know whether my PC has an Ethernet (Network) Card? What should I do if my PC does not have an Ethernet? Most of the new personal computers (PCs) have Ethernet cards built in them, and depending on the Operating System installed on your PC, you may be able to find out whether or not you have a network card installed in your PC. However, if you are not sure, we recommend that you consult a computer hardware specialist such as the outlet where you have bought your PC. If your PC does not have a card already installed, you may ask them to install it for you - it should not be more than few tens of Dirhams! ^ back to top |

What is 'Roaming Facility'? Can I mix and match the TV and Internet connections I have in my house? Yes you can! One of the main benefits of DIC Telecom’s service and technology is that it allows you to use the same Internet/TV connections for either service. Whenever you have Internet Access or TV service (or both), you can apply for one or more sockets in your house to be activated. On these sockets you can watch TV or access the Internet. However, please note that, for the High Speed Internet users, all the connected PCs in your home will share the same bandwidth. ^ back to top |
